Generally, when we talk about Superfood we think more of Broccoli, Acacia seeds, Goji berries, Kale and the world seems to discover a superfood every week. But, The Indian Superfood is a food item that promises a miracle and often comes from a somewhere exotic place that’s what we think but that’s not true. Forget about Acacia seeds and Goji berries. The secret foods for health, vitality, and weight loss lie in our own kitchens and backyards that’s why we call it an Indian Superfood, foods that are nutrient-rich and all are locally available. No standard criteria or legal definitions to classify any food as a superfood at this time. However, most superfoods are plant-based. Superfood term refers to foods that offer maximum nutritional benefits for minimal calories. They are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
